WHO/WHAT: Hawaii Kotohira Jinsha welcomes the “Year of the Dog” with traditional New Year’s blessings beginning at midnight, Jan. 1, 2018. As far of the festivities, you can get your head bitten by a shishi lion for good luck and partake of ozone mochi soup for good health. Omamori will also be available for purchase.
